This Anglo-Indian wedding at Elmley Nature Reserve was a breathtaking celebration we will never forget! We had the absolute pleasure curating bridal looks for our stunning bride,  Zeena for her 3 day festivities at Elmley Nature Reserve followed by her East London civil ceremony in Hackney. The wedding was so beautiful it was published in Vogue!

Weddings at Elmley Nature Reserve

Nestled in the Isle of Sheppey, Elmley Nature Reserve is a unique wedding venue being the only nature reserve in the UK to host weddings! The moment you step on Elmley’s grounds you’re immersed in nature with its expansive landscapes and vibrant wildlife. What truly sets this venue apart, is the amazing on site team, they are absolutely wonderful! We’re already hoping to be back for a wedding or maybe even a weekend getaway!

Day One at Elmley Nature Reserve : The Mehndi Party

The Anglo-Indian festivities began at Elmley Nature Reserve with a spectacular Mehndi Party, a beloved Indian wedding tradition. Held the night before the wedding ceremony the Mehndi is a time for loved ones to bless the nearly-weds painting Henna tattoos onto the skin of the bride and groom. True to the essence of Indian Weddings, this Anglo-Indian celebration was dazzling with colour. Day Two at Elmley Nature Reserve : The Pithi Ceremony

Among the many amazing Indian wedding traditions woven into the couple's epic Anglo-Indian celebration was the Pithi ceremony. Beloved for its playful nature, the Pithi sees the nearly-weds covered in a golden paste of chickpea flour, rose water and turmeric. The yellow paste signifies joy and prosperity, blessing the couple for their future. Elmley welcomed the Pithi ceremony with open arms, providing the perfect outdoor landscape for Zac and Zeena to celebrate their Anglo-Indian celebrations.

Day Three at Elmley Nature Reserve : The Wedding ceremony

Following 3 unforgettable days at Elmley the newlyweds brought their Anglo-Indian festivities back to London for a civil ceremony.  You can read all about here! True to Zeena and Zac’s style their London wedding was modern, vibrant and simply fabulous - be  sure to check it out!
